David H. Lloyd, D.D.S.
Dr. David Lloyd was born and raised in Oak Park, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago, his family multi-generational Chicagoans. He and his wife, Rose, and their sons: Shawn, Peter and Christopher, currently reside in Lake Forest, Illinois.
Dr. Lloyd is a graduate of Oak Park/River Forest High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois Urbana as an honor student on the Dean’s list. He then attended Loyola University School of Dentistry, where he received an “outstanding student award” as a sophomore and was on the Dean’s List until he graduated cum laude with a doctorate degree in dental surgery. He was awarded the relatively coveted residency in general dentistry at the Veterans Research Hospital in Chicago, but, rather, he elected to enter the orthodontic residency graduate program at Loyola University School of Dentistry where he received his certificate of specialty in the field of orthodontics. During the second year of his residency, he served as a clinical instructor. Throughout dental school and while completing his residency, Dr. Lloyd was a member in good standing of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society. Following completion of the orthodontic specialty program, Dr. Lloyd successfully passed the Illinois Specialty in Orthodontics Board from which time he has maintained his status as a specialist in Orthodontics.
Besides running a full-time orthodontic practice in Lake Forest and Libertyville, Illinois, Dr. Lloyd has worked as a consultant in a research and development capacity for several orthodontic companies, and, for many years, has been a consultant to the Navy regarding orthognathic surgery cases.
Dr. Lloyd has devoted his life to his family and the pursuit of clinical expertise, having logged hundreds of hours of continuing education. In his commitment to continuing education, he and his staff regularly attend the national American Association of Orthodontists meeting and various educational seminars throughout the year. To-stay up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Lloyd maintains active membership in the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontists and the World Federation of Orthodontists.
